      Understanding Counterparty Types

      This article explains the different types of Counterparty supported in Kooltra.

      Counterparty Types are used in Kooltra to distinguish between different types of accounts managed in the system. Each counterparty (account) in Kooltra must have a Counterparty Type assigned.

      Possible values are:

      • Individual: used to classify accounts as individual people or joint accounts. This counterparty type is typically used for retail accounts or high net-worth individuals.

      • Company: used to classify accounts as companies or businesses, such as SMEs or institutional accounts.

      • Internal: used to represent internal accounts, such as treasury desks.
